Why Do We Have
An average adult mouth is designed to hold around 28 teeth comfortably, but most adults end up with 32. The additional four teeth are called wisdom teeth, AKA third molars. The reason that some adults grow wisdom teeth is because, throughout evolutionary history, the human jaw has become smaller and smaller. Because of this, the wisdom teeth become blocked or impacted by the other teeth around them. This can become extremely traumatizing. If the wisdom tooth partially erupts, food can get trapped in the tissue surrounding it, which can lead to bacterial growth and possibly serious infection.
Why Remove Wisdom Teeth as
a Young Adult?
By removing wisdom teeth when a patient is a young adult, Dr. Abedini is able to prevent potential healing problems. When a person reaches the age of their mid-thirties, there are much higher risks for wisdom teeth removal. The best time to remove wisdom teeth is generally between the ages of fifteen to eighteen years of age.
However, if you are an adult and need to remove your wisdom teeth, there’s no need to worry. Here at All Smiles Dental, we take extra care to make sure that our adult patients are comfortable and anxiety-free. After a consultation, we will recommend that you continue with your wisdom teeth until intervention is absolutely necessary. When it is necessary to remove your wisdom teeth, Dr. Abedini will recommend a simple and pain-free surgery. Your health is our highest concern.
Let Dr. Abedini Take Care of Those Wisdom Teeth
We see patients on a regular basis to remove wisdom teeth. This is a common procedure at All Smiles Dental. If you are interested in having a consultation, please give us a call or email us.
The establishment is clean and well decorated and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I was given options to treat my gums and not force fed a sales pitch, which is a big deal to me. They did a great job while showing that they truly care about my oral health.
My family and I have been coming here for over 5 years. I was always afraid of the dentist as a kid, but now enjoy them taking care of my teeth. I am no longer fearful.
I came here with so many dental issues!!! The previous dentist I had made my problems even worse and I thought there was no end to the pain. I went to Dr. Kenny Abedini and he worked on my mouth for 9 months to get all the work I wanted done. Two deep cleanings, a root canal, ten gold crowns fitted just right (3 lower left 3 lower right 2 top right 2 top left all in the back) so I can still smile and you cannot see the gold. The best part no more pain!!! I have TMJ so I clench and grind my teeth until I cracked my other porcelain down. So this time I wanted gold so the metal will not crack or grind down as fast, and might last the rest of my life. Now the teeth in the back feel great, and look great. I would recommend him to everyone and will be a returning customer for years to come.
The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. My hygienist was friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and gentle. My time with the doctor was short, because I didn’t have any major issues but he seemed nice. The whole appointment felt fast but not rushed. I also appreciated that they helped me navigate my insurance. I feel comfortable and confident returning, and I’d recommend to anyone!
